Weekend Article Roundup: What Do You Know About Hunger?

Yesterday, Falguni wrote a blog post about the statistics and effects of hunger in the world. Did you know that over 925 million people go t bed hungry every night? We talk about hunger a lot on the Heifer Blog, but ask yourself, what do I really know about hunger?

Last night on the Heifer Facebook page we asked, have you ever been hungry? We received some insightful responses of those who had, and those who hadn’t but couldn’t imagine what it was like. This week’s “How To” post was even about how to teach your children about hunger and poverty.

This weekend, ask someone you know, what do you know about hunger? Share with them the fact that every 6 seconds a child dies from malnutrition and related causes. Yes, it’s hard to talk about, but if we don’t talk about it, we can’t end it.

And I really believe that together we can end hunger.
