“I’d like to thank our colleagues at Heifer Haiti for receiving us as you work to rebuild Haiti, bigger and better, from the ground up,” Stewart said in the morning meeting.
“For all intents and purposes, today we are all Haitian; from January we became a part of you and the work you’re doing. I admit to being impatient for answers, but I now know the time invested has been worth it.
“I believe with every ounce of my being that it is perhaps the plan, if replicated and emulated across Haiti, that can help change the future of this country for the better. I’m very honored and humbled to be here.”
