Our Work

Currently Heifer Armenia is implementing 22 active projects – 19 in Armenia and 3 in Georgia (regional projects).

The organization places various types of animals such as cows, goats, sheep, beehives, rabbits, chickens, fish, turkeys, buffalos, bull calves, Californian worms, potato seeds, alfalfa seeds, wheat seeds, fruit tree seedlings.

The generous contributions of Heifer donor EED German Church Development Service organization since 2003 allowed Heifer Armenia to sustain its support to the youth projects to enhance the leadership skills of youth from rural communities of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan and create opportunities for them to become empowered and self-sufficient community members, to provide awareness in legal, political and economic spheres affecting the lives of young people.

Heifer Armenia Program Statement of Purpose:

We work for improvement of the socio-economic situation of the vulnerable groups (men, women, boys and girls) through development of rural communities, finding solutions for economic and ecological problems, spiritually renewal and strengthening peace in the region.
