Norman Doll is Chair of the Heifer Foundation, the global partner whose mission is to grow and oversee an endowment to support the work of Heifer International.  This officer position automatically seats Norm at the table of the Heifer International Board of Directors.

Norm is a 1977 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Civil and Environmental Engineering, is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. He spent 26 years at Pieper Electric, Inc. an electrical and mechanical contractor in Wisconsin with $90 million annual sales. He held the positions of construction manager, project manager, director, vice president and president, a post he held for 12 years. He led a variety of significant projects and divisions including steel fabrication projects, underground electrical construction, industrial electrical projects, process instrumentation and control projects, underground and overhead line construction and a variety of overall general building and infrastructure construction. His current position is President Emeritus after retiring from the business in February of 2009.

In addition to consulting in the construction industry, Doll conducts lectures and teaches classes in construction management at the University of Wisconsin—Madison where he is adjunct professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, additionally serving on the Advisory Committee. His classes include Leadership for Project Managers and International Development Engineering. He is co-advisor to the student chapter of Engineers without Borders and serves as the technical and student advisor for individual projects around the world.

Additional commercial pursuits include green redevelopment of residential property, land reclamation and sustainable healthy farming.

He serves on several charitable and community boards and belongs to multiple industry and social improvement associations. He is a long-time supporter and volunteer with Heifer International.
